Day 1 WINNIPEG – MINNEAPOLIS, MN Today you enter the United States and travel through North Dakota into Minnesota.

Day 2 MINNEAPOLIS – CHICAGO, IL Area Your travels take you southeast today as we enter Wisconsin, America’s dairyland. You’ll pass green pastures and rolling meadows along the edge of the Wisconsin Dells as we head to the Chicago area for the night.

Day 3 CHICAGO – NAPPANEE, IN (2 NIGHTS)  Indiana’s Amish countryside is a colourful combination of fertile farms and villages. You will be introduced to the ways of the Amish during your 2- night stay in Nappanee.

DAY 4 NAPPANEE AREA Take a step back in time as you spend the day in this Amish County. Visit the world-famous Shipshewana Flea Market & Auction with hundreds of vendors selling everything from fresh fruit to handcrafted furniture. This small community comes alive with a truly one of a kind atmosphere. It’s hard not to find a friendly face on these streets! Tour Menno-Hof this afternoon and discover the simple pleasures of the Mennonite and Amish ways of life. Menno-Hof’s multi-image presentations, historical environments and colourful displays take you on a fascinating journey.

DAY 5 NAPPANEE – BERLIN, OH (4 NIGHTS) Today you will arrive for a 4-night stay in the region containing the largest settlement of Amish people in North America. Enjoy a hot farmers breakfast served every morning at your hotel.

DAY 6 NEW PHILADELPHIA AREA Today promises to be an enlightening experience as you delve into an Amish Country Tour with the guidance of a local expert. Your knowledgeable guide will take you on an insightful tour, shedding light on the fascinating religious beliefs, work ethics, and traditional practices of the Amish and Mennonite communities.

During your tour, you’ll have the opportunity to stop by Coblentz Leather Goods, where you can indulge in some shopping and also feed the friendly goats. Wendall August Forge is a must-visit, boasting a rustic barn-style retail store that showcases elegant hand-hammered metalware. Make sure you snap a picture beside the World’s Largest Amish buggy!

Another highlight of your tour will be a visit to Lehman’s Hardware Store, a step back in time to the 1840s era. You’ll be transported to a different era as you browse through museum-quality antiques, and discover products that you thought were long discontinued, all available for sale.

Lunch will be at your leisure at the Amish Door Restaurant, which is known for its delectable cuisine. Be sure to visit their in-house bakery for some irresistible treats!

Your tour will also include a special visit to Warther Carvings & Cutlery, where you’ll have the opportunity to purchase some of the finest kitchen cutlery ever made. The renowned World Master Carver, Mr. Warther, has dedicated his life to recreating the history of the steam engine in ebony and ivory. His wife’s impressive collection of 73,000 buttons is on display in her lovely Swiss flower garden, arranged in beautiful designs.

Your day will come to a satisfying close with a delicious dinner included after the tour.

DAY 7 NEW PHILADELPHIA AREA Get ready for a delightful mix of immersive experiences and free time to explore the charming surroundings. Prepare to be mesmerized by a candle carving demonstration at Lamp & Light Candle, where you’ll witness a skilled artisan crafting beautiful candles before your eyes. Witness a broom-making demonstration at Walnut Valley Broom & Gift and marvel at the intricate craftsmanship involved.

We will stop by Walnut Creek Cheese, a bustling bulk foods and country store, and try their famous Haystack Meals, a crowd-pleasing local delicacy. Lunch will be on your own. Take in the sights at Miller’s Dry Goods and Quilt shop and Keim Lumber, where you can admire the handiwork of skilled craftsmen and browse through unique souvenirs to take home.

During your time here we will take you to the World’s largest Cuckoo Clock located in downtown Sugarcreek, a picturesque town fondly referred to as “The Little Switzerland of Ohio.”

You will have some free time back at the hotel to relax, explore the area, or do some shopping in the various stores nearby.

One of the highlights of your day will be a traditional Family-Style Meal at an Amish Home. Indulge in a sumptuous feast that includes roast turkey, dressing, coleslaw, potatoes, vegetables, and an assortment of delectable pies. And that’s not all – you’ll also learn to make peanut butter whip and take some home as a sweet souvenir of your visit.

DAY 8 NEW PHILADELPHIA AREA Here comes a lineup of experiences that will delight your senses and broaden your horizons.

Begin your day with a visit to Hershberger’s Farm & Bakery, where you can browse a plethora of fresh Fall produce, homemade jams, jellies, baked goods, locally made arts and crafts, and more! Keep an eye out for the largest Belgian Draft Horse in the U.S, an impressive sight to behold.

Next, head to Heini’s Cheese Chalet, where you’ll be greeted with over 20 varieties of locally made cheeses. Don’t miss their famous yogurt cheese and dessert cream cheese fudge varieties, a delicious treat for cheese lovers.

At Yoder’s Amish Farm, a guided tour of two Amish homes, a replica schoolhouse, and a buggy ride await you. Immerse yourself in the Amish way of life and gain a deeper understanding of their customs and traditions.

After a day of exploration, indulge in an included buffet dinner at Farmstead Restaurant before attending the Amish Country Theatre. Here, you’ll enjoy two hours of side-splitting laughter and family-friendly fun featuring renowned ventriloquist Ken Groves.

From farm-fresh produce to local cheeses, buggy rides, and hilarious entertainment, Day 8 of your New Philadelphia experience will be one for the books!

DAY 9 NEW PHILADELPHIA – BIRCH RUN, MI  Today, we visit Frankenmuth – famous for its German atmosphere and food. After an early check-in at our hotel, a unique shopping experience awaits us at Bronner’s Christmas Store. Tonight, we enjoy a traditional Bavarian-style chicken dinner.

DAY 10 BIRCH RUN – MADISON, WI The fall colours should be magnificent today as we travel to Madison.

DAY 11 MADISON – MINNEAPOLIS, MN We visit Wisconsin Dells and enjoy a scenic boat cruise before departing for our night in Minneapolis.

DAY 12 MINNEAPOLIS – WINNIPEG, MB Today you re-enter Canada via the duty-free shop at Pembina, ND. Complete your return home and bid farewell to the new travelling companions you made on this wonderful Amish holiday.
